Printing on Correx

Correx boards can be printed with any design or colour scheme but to really make your board stand out we suggest that you use high-contrast designs with high-impact colour combinations. The ink we use for correx sign printing is fade and scratch-resistant so feel free to get as creative as you like with your colour combinations! Correx boards are lightweight making them easy to hang using just tape, glue or nails. For a professional finish pre-drill your printed Correx boards and then hang with picture wire.

Artwork Guidelines

Hints & Tips when creating your board file:

• We recommend that your text size is no smaller than 5mm to ensure legibility.
• If you’re having drill holes in the corners, ensure that any logos or information is clear of this area.
• Ensure your artwork dimensions match the size of the board you are ordering. This will prevent any unsightly stretching and distortion of your artwork.
• Ensure your artwork is set up to at least 150DPI.
• Consider the file qualities of any logos, icons, and photographs. If they are pixelated on your screen, they will be even more so when printed at a large scale. If your board is to be viewed from a distance, pixelation becomes less of an issue.
• Recommended file types for best results: PDF, PDF/X

What is Correx?

Correx is the brand name for polypropylene fluted board, which is a type of corrugated plastic. It is very lightweight, durable, and waterproof. Correx is very popular for temporary outdoor signs.

How big can my board be?

Your board can be as big as you wish, there are no restrictions. However, boards are supplied at a maximum sheet size of 8x4ft (2438x1219mm), any board printing orders larger than this will be split into sections.

How thick is your Correx board?

Our Correx board is 5mm thick for extra durability.

Can I use a Correx sign outdoors?

Our printed correx signs use weatherproof inks and are suitable for outdoor use.

How do you drill holes into your Correx boards?

Drill holes are placed 20mm in from the corners using an 6mm drill bit. Please ensure important information on your artwork avoids these areas.

Can you cut Correx boards to a custom shape?

Yes! We ask that you provide cut paths with your artwork file for our cutter to follow. Your artwork and desired shape must also be suitable for Correx, however we will always advise if not.

Why use Correx?

Correx is a good choice for temporary signs or signage campaigns with a low budget. It is widely used for cheap outdoor signs. If you need a more lasting sign, then aluminium signs may be more suitable. For indoor signs, it might be better to consider foam board printing as it has a smoother finish.

How do I display Correx signs?

As Correx signs are lightweight, they are easy to display with tape, glue, or screws. For an impressive in-store display, pre-drill the boards and then hang with wire.

What resolution do you print Correx signs at?

We print at high resolution 1440dpi in full colour.

Is Correx recyclable?

Yes! Correx is a corrugated plastic board and can be recycled after use.

Can I upload more than one image per order?

If you’re ordering more than one correx board of the same size, and have various pieces of artwork to supply, our uploader will allow you to add as many images as you need to complete you order.

Can you colour match?

Our printers produce CMYK images and artwork supplied in this format will be printed with the colour values stated. We do offer a personalised colour matching service please contact our sales office for more information and pricing.

Can you edit my artwork?

Yes, we can make amendments to your artwork. For this you will need to select one of our design services, which will allow for approx 1 hour or 2 hours design time depending on the package you choose.

Can I collect from store?

If it is convenient for you to collect or arrange collection from our factory in Manchester, you can select this option during the checkout process.
