A1 may not be the largest poster size we offer, but make no mistake it’s still big enough to make an impact without being overwhelming in smaller spaces. Your A1 poster will be printed on your choice of paper from our standard or premium paper ranges using high-resolution print techniques, and a choice of matt, satin or gloss finish. We specialise in single or low volume museum-quality prints, ideal for CAD drawings and fine art prints. We use genuine 8-colour Epson ink and printers to print all of our posters. You can also add the option of laminate in a choice of matt, gloss and antimicrobial for extra durability. You will also enjoy a great bulk discount on large orders of A1 posters.

Specialist High Quality A1 Poster Printing

We’re specialists in individual and low volume high quality prints suitable for a range of uses including CAD drawings and fine art prints. We only print A1 posters using genuine 8-colour Epson inks and printers which guarantee sharp, vibrant, colour saturated prints every time.

Choosing the Right Finish for Your A1 Poster

We offer five options of paper finish for your poster: matt, satin, photo gloss, pastable paper, and plastic paper.

Matt Premium:

Matt poster paper doesn’t reflect light and is well suited to black and white posters, less detailed posters, and posters that will be viewed in well-lit settings. A key benefit of matt poster paper is that smudges aren’t visible on it so you don’t have to worry so much about keeping your poster clean.

Satin Premium:

Satin poster paper provides a middle ground between photo gloss and matt paper. It showcases colours, details and contrasts very well, but doesn’t produce as much glare as photo gloss paper. Smudges are also less visible on this type of paper so it’s possible to display this type of poster without a protective cover.

Gloss Premium:

Photo gloss paper is reflective and helps to showcase the colours and details of your poster, especially useful if the poster will be viewed in a low-light setting. Photo gloss paper shows dirt and fingerprints so is best covered with glass or plastic. In settings with very bright lighting, gloss paper can be too reflective and mean the graphic is difficult to see from all angles.

Pastable Paper:

Recommended for short term use, the pastable blue-backed paper is designed specifically for outdoor use and is crack and flake resistant – even if it is folded after getting wet. At 125gsm thickness it’s thicker than the industry standard, making it more durable and easier to hang. The blue-backing also prevents the background surface from showing through the poster. This is a budget outdoor poster paper which is often used for events posters and billboards. Due to the texture of this material, the print quality can be reduced compared to printing on other poster material and is recommended for larger posters viewed from a distance. The blue-backing on the material may result in artwork darkening slightly.

Plastic Paper:

The SyntiSOL plastic paper is self-explanatory, it's plastic paper that is perfect for outdoor use. It is an extremely weatherproof and durable material with a satin finish that produces excellent print quality. We recommend this paper type if your poster will be viewed from close range, such as point-of-sale displays and entrance posters. The product is guaranteed to stand the test of time if used correctly.

Need a Frame for Your A1 Poster?

A frame is a great way of showcasing your poster and creating a really professional looking display. We stock Trappa poster frames which have an innovative front opening system so you can hang your poster without having to remove the frame from the wall. Trappa frames are a great way of creating easy to renew, professional looking advertising displays with very little effort. The frames are made from anodized aluminium in a choice of silver or black finish and are suitable for outdoor use.

We also stock A1 Poster Frames that are high quality wooden frames in a range of finishes (black, white, brushed silver, and oak). The acrylic glaze used in these frames looks like traditional glass but is much harder to break and less hazardous if accidentally broken.

What size are A1 posters?

The size of an A1 poster is 841mm x 594mm.

What type of paper do you print A1 posters on?

We offer 3 different choices of paper for our indoor posters: 180gsm matt paper, 210gsm satin paper, and 225gsm photo-gloss paper. For outdoor posters, we have 2 different choices of paper: 125gsm blue-backed paper and SynstiSOL plastic paper.

What is blue-backed poster paper?

Our blue-backed poster paper has a satin finish. The blue backing helps reduce show-through when pasted over other images.

What are your poster printing services suitable for?

Our premium range comprises of incredibly high quality paper, and is ideal for single or small batch print runs for high-end posters that will last for years.

What are your finish options?

You can choose between matt, satin, and photo-gloss finishes for posters.

Can you laminate my A1 poster?

Laminating your poster can help protect it so it lasts longer. We offer three options for laminating: matt, gloss, and antimicrobial.

Do you print other poster sizes?

We print all standard poster sizes including A2, A3, A0, 2A0 posters as well as custom sizes.

How do I order a poster?

To place an order online, simply select your options and upload your artwork, or choose our design service on this page and proceed through checkout.

What format should my artwork be in?

Please read our guidelines for supplying artwork.

Can I upload more than one image per order?

If you're ordering more than one poster of the same size, and have various pieces of artwork to supply, our uploader will allow you to add as many images as you need to complete you order.

Can you colour match?

Our printers produce CMYK images and artwork supplied in this format will be printed with the colour values stated. We do offer a personalised colour matching service please contact our sales office for more information and pricing.

Can you edit my artwork?

Yes, we can make amendments to your artwork. For this you will need to select one of our design services, which will allow for approx 1 hour or 2 hours design time depending on the package you choose.

Can I collect from store?

If it is convenient for you to collect or arrange collection from our factory in Manchester, you can select this option during the checkout process.
